What Give Local provides

Give Local is a free, informational directory of volunteer opportunities in British Columbia. We link to organizations’ own websites; we do not operate their programs, screen their volunteers, or manage sign-ups.

Listings are informational

We work to keep listings accurate and to list only legitimate organizations (see our vetting criteria), but we can’t guarantee that every detail — a schedule, an age rule, a link — is current at the moment you read it. Confirm specifics with the organization before relying on them. If you spot a problem, tell us.

Organizations are independent

Listing an organization is not an endorsement, partnership, or guarantee of your experience with them. Give Local is not responsible for the acts, omissions, policies, or content of any listed organization or their website.

No liability

The directory is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Give Local is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your involvement with a listed organization.

Acceptable use

Don’t scrape the site for bulk republication, misrepresent your affiliation with Give Local, or submit false information through our forms.

Changes

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date will change when we do. Questions: give.local.volunteering@gmail.com.
